OSOPADEC Scholarship

The Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission ( OSOPADEC) is inviting interested and qualified indigenous tertiary institution students from Ilaje and Ese-Odo Local Government Area for the 2024 OSOPADEC scholarship.

The scholarship is for those undergoing undergraduate and postgraduate programs in any accredited tertiary institution in Nigeria.

If you are awarded the OSOPADEC scholarship, financial assistance in the form of a monetary award will be given to you which will cover tuition and all other academic expenses.

The scholarship offers the sum of N50,000- N150,000 to those students selected for both the undergraduate and postgraduate programs in the country and will be renewable throughout your period of study.

OSOPADEC scholarship is only available for those students undergoing a full-time study program, those involved in part-time or long-distance learning are not eligible to apply for the scholarship.

• A scholarship amount of N50,000 is given to selected undergraduate students 
• A scholarship amount of N100,000 will be given to selected Masters and Postgraduate Diploma students

Eligibility Requirements of OSOPADEC Scholarship

To become eligible to apply for the OSOPADEC Scholarship you must meet the following criteria 

1. Nationality: The scholarship is open to only citizens of Nigeria 
2. Indigene: You must be an indigene of either Ilaje and/or Ese-Odo Local Government Area of Ondo State.
3. Admission: You must be a full-time student of any recognized public/private institution in Nigeria as of the 2023/2024 academic session.
4. Program Type: The OSOPADEC scholarship is open to both undergraduate and postgraduate as well as Law school students in as much as the studentship is acknowledged by their school/university authority.
5. Academic Record: You must have an excellent academic record to be able to apply and get selected for the scholarship 
6. Ineligible students: All part-time, sandwich, pre-degree, NTI/Diploma students and institutions not accredited by relevant educational authorities are not eligible to apply for this scholarship

What is the Full Meaning of OSOPADEC?

OSOPADEC means Ondo State Oil Producing Area Development Commission.
