The scholarship program offers you the opportunity to undergo your studies abroad at one of the best universities in the world.

BEA scholarships are specifically designed for undergraduate and postgraduate studies in selected countries worldwide.

Those who are applying for the BEA undergraduate program will be eligible to study in some selected countries such as Russia, Morocco, Hungary, Egypt, and Algeria while those applying for the BEA Postgraduate Scholarship will have the privilege to study in either China, Hungary, Serbia, and Romania.

The undergraduate scholarship program is specifically meant for those undergoing full-time study in some selected disciplines while the PhD scholarship cuts across all disciplines.

BEA Scholarship is fully funded by the federal government of Nigeria through the Ministry of Education and funds will be. Provided to cater for your tuition fee and academic expenses while studying at the university abroad 

There is an age limit associated with this scholarship, if you apply, you must be within the age of 35 years for the master’s degree program and 40 years for the PhD program.

Eligibility Requirements for BEA Scholarship 

The following are the eligibility requirements for the Bilateral Agreement (BEA) Scholarship. 

  1. Citizenship: the scholarship is only open to citizens and permanent residents of Nigeria 
  2. Academic Qualification: if you are applying for the undergraduate program, you must possess a minimum of seven distinctions (As and Bs) in your senior secondary school certificate, WASSCE/WAEC, only on subjects relevant to your field of study including mathematics and English Language in not more than two sittings while if you intend applying for the postgraduate program, you must hold a first degree with first class or second class upper 
  3. Age limit: you must be between the ages of 17 to 20 years before you can be eligible to apply for the undergraduate scholarship program and between 35 to 40 years to apply for the Master’s and PhD program 
  4. Release by your employer: if you are a working-class citizen working under an employer, you must resign or provide evidence of readiness to be released by your employer 
  5. Additional Requirements: if you are applying for the postgraduate scholarship you must present an NYSC discharge or exception certificate
